In recent days, Novowood had the pleasure of hosting students from the Bachelet Institute in Ferrara for a discussion regarding the project “Certification of Entrepreneurial Skills according to the Olivettian Model.”

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the students on themes that are central to the business world today: sustainability, technological innovation, focus on people, social responsibility, and the relationship between a company and its local territory.

The reference to the Olivettian model offered a particularly significant starting point. Adriano Olivetti viewed a company not merely as a place of production, but as an entity capable of generating economic, cultural, and social value. This vision remains extremely relevant today, inviting companies to reflect on their role within the community and the concrete contribution they can offer to the growth of individuals and the environment in which they operate.

Through Novowood's experience, students were able to explore how these principles can be applied within a contemporary industrial setting. The search for innovative materials, the responsible use of resources, the focus on product durability, and the reduction of environmental impact are all elements of a corporate path oriented toward combining development, sustainability, and responsibility. During the discussion, a fundamental theme also emerged: the value of work. Supporting workers, investing in skills, and creating a conscious corporate environment are essential goals for building a solid company capable of looking toward the future. In this perspective, innovation concerns not only products or production processes, but also the way a company grows together with the people who are part of it.

The students' visit was also an important opportunity to connect with the local area and its institutions, confirming the value of dialogue between schools and businesses. For Novowood, opening its doors means contributing to the training of new generations, sharing concrete experiences, and strengthening the bond with the local context in which the company operates. We would like to thank the students and teachers of the Bachelet Institute in Ferrara for their interest and for this stimulating opportunity for exchange.
