Officially inaugurated in 2021, the port of Cala del Forte is one of the most modern in the Mediterranean. Novowood is the product chosen for the creation of the long walks that "embrace" the project: almost 4.000 m2 of Elite 145 flooring capable of withstanding the most adverse atmospheric conditions, typical of the maritime environment, and capable of maintaining its characteristics unaltered in the years.
The Infinity Plus 60 louvers cover the façades of one of the main elements of the Port: the central tower, positioned in the heart of the project. The louvers screen the openings and create the envelope that gives identity to this service tower.
Everything in the port has been designed and built to be cutting-edge from the point of view of environmental sustainability. Novowood was also chosen for this reason: with over 81,5% of recycled material present within it, it favors the development of a circular economy aimed at containing CO2 emissions in the world.

Novowood has all the qualities of wood, but not its defects: it is long-lasting, stable and it does not warp, it has no splinters and does not lose color, it is sun, ice and rain resistant.
Novowood’s polymeric component allows it to better resist the deterioration due to the sea climate and salty water. Furthermore, it works as a protective layer against the proliferation of fungus and mould.
Finally, the composite materials require no maintenance, painting and are 100% recyclable.
